Introduction to Paris:

Paris, otherwise known as the City of Lights (haha) is a great city to visit and I believe is a must-see bucket list destination. I have been lucky enough to be able to visit the city twice (because it is my mom’s favorite). Paris is a very special place that has a lot of unique experiences to offer and where you can make some special memories. This city is a must-see and with this ultimate guide, you will be able to get what you want out of your visit.

Attractions:

Paris has many attractions that can be very touristy but sometimes you do want the tourist experience. In this city, the tourist attractions are really what make the city shine. These are some of the attractions that I would recommend to see while you visit:

  • La tour Eiffel(The Eiffel Tower for those non frenchies). I know this is a very touristy attraction but it is a must-see. Here’s a tip for visiting. My suggestion for visiting the Eiffel Tower is to go to one of the little grassy areas next to the Eiffel Tower where you can bring your lunch and maybe a good book and enjoy the view for an afternoon. You can also get great photos of yourself with the tower from this view.

  • Musée de Cluny is a less popular museum that still offers a lot of good art pieces and has very nice architecture (if that is something you are interested in, why haha, kidding). I did not go to this Museum. I went to a different Museum, La Musee D’Orsay (my mom’s favorite impressionist gallery). Overall this museum is a nice change compared to the typical busy museums in Paris.

  • La Petite Ceinture is an unusual place that is perfect for going on a unique walk or even renting a bike and riding around there. Unfortunately, I did not do this but just looking at photos of it is just enough for me to suggest it because of the unique appearance it contains.

  • This attraction is something I did when I was younger but it is still ungraded in my mind because of how interesting it is. This attraction is The history garden which is a museum but when you go out one of their back doors you enter this big beautiful garden that contains a variety of different plants and flowers. In the garden, they also have little food stands where you can get a bit to eat. A unique part of this garden is that they have a big pond. I can remember that I wanted to swim in it haha(I think it was because it was super hot that day and there were ducks in it so….). If you have younger children it is perfect and also if you have a teenager. I truly think that if you are taking them to multiple museums or want to see a lot put this one on the list because it is more entertaining than most of the Museums in Paris.

Restaurants where you NEED to eat:

Paris is known for a few different things 1 art(boring) 2 the Eiffel Tower (obviously) and 3 food(the best one) and so these are some of my favorite cafes and restaurants that I went to while I was there:

  • LADURÉE If you haven’t heard of it you haven’t lived(maybe that was a little too dramatic) but this café indeed has some of the best Macarons and tea. And I know that is a big statement. But it is true since they put some much effort into the beautiful cafe and its food. Now this is a chain restaurant that has many locations all over the world, but this is the original location on Les Champs Elysees. Any time I see one of their shops I just have to go in and buy some bakery items but, the items in Paris have and will always be the best ones in the world. So I can’t stress this enough. Please try this amazing café you won’t regret it(unless you order something you’re allergic to… please don’t…haha).

  • Rosa Kiwi is a nice dessert spot in Paris that sells frozen yogurt, perfect for a dessert after your nice dinner. This frozen dessert is perfect since if you decide to go in the summer it is super nice to enjoy it after a long day of walking(which you will have because it is known as the city of lights and love and walking in inhuman hot summer temperatures haha).

  • Le Petite Gaston is a unique burger restaurant in Paris that offers classic nice burgers and it also offers some different types of fancier burgers. When I went to this restaurant I was very little so I don’t remember too much but I do remember that it was a good meal after having to do all of that walking ALL DAY but that’s just the kind of thing that you do in Paris. WALK!

  • Le Recrutement is a restaurant that I put on this list for its incredible view of the Eiffel Tower. I did not go to this restaurant while I was there. But while I was doing some research I thought to put this in because of the stunning view that you get from this little restaurant in Paris. This is another great way to get to see the Eiffel Tower.

Hotels:/Airbnbs

Paris like all other countries has many hotels that are amazing and all but I do believe that you may want to stay in a classic Paris apartment so with this portion of the article I will be recommending some great Airbnb selections that I have found:

  • The first Airbnb that I recommend is this Luxurious apartment In the heart of Paris that has 2 bedrooms, 3 beds, and 1 bath. This is a great apartment that offers a lot of great views of the Eiffel Tower. This Airbnb will cost you about $320 CAD a night.

  • This apartment near the Eiffel Tower with a perfect view of it is a great option for you since it will be near all of the attractions that you might be doing. This apartment accommodates 4 guests with 2 bedrooms, 2 beds, and 2 baths. In total, for one night this Airbnb will cost you about $660 CAD.

  • This entire rental unit in Paris also offers a great view Of the Eiffel Tower and can accommodate 6 guests with 1 bedroom, 3 beds, and 1 bath. This is a great option since this rental will also be close to restaurants and interesting attractions which is perfect so you don’t have to commute as much to things you want to see. This apartment will cost you about $491 CAD a night.

  • Now if you want a more affordable and adventurous hotel I would recommend booking a hostel instead. A plus side to this is obviously that the price will be much less. The hostel that I would recommend is the Auberge de Jeunesse HI Paris Yves Robert. This is a good option because the price of this for 2 guests is about $43 CAD a night. So if you want a more classic adventurous Paris experience I would recommend this hostel for sure.

When should you visit?:

For this city, you should visit this whenever you have the chance since each season is different and amazing in Paris. The only time I don’t recommend going is in late summer since it can get very very very hot to the point it can be a little inhumane and just uncomfortable. But other than that fall, winter, spring, and most of summer are amazing and different in their way. So go whenever you want and whenever you can.

Why Paris?:

Paris is such a unique place that is just such a bucket list city that I think everyone should visit(if you can of course). Paris is a must-see destination because of its beauty, history, and interesting culture. So I would say in conclusion that you SHOULD go.

Safety:

As a young female or anyone I can understand that you want to know how safe something is before you visit and other than a few people that did make me feel a little uncomfortable overall Paris is a pretty safe city but of course, as I always say to be aware of your surroundings and stay safe and have fun, everyone!

Environment:

In regards to the environment since we only have one, make sure when you're traveling to be conscious about the environment since we still need it to last us many more decades so think green.
